Yashna Lamsal, DO

Dr. Yashna Lamsal knew from a young age that she wanted a career in medicine. Her curiosity about the human body and her desire to help people through life's hardest moments drew her to the field. However, building real connections with patients made her fall in love with the profession.

Dr. Lamsal specializes in internal medicine with a focus on primary care and treats adult patients ages 18 and older. She was drawn to this specialty because it combines analytical problem-solving with long-term patient relationships. As an internal medicine physician, Dr. Lamsal cares for a wide range of conditions, including high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, thyroid disorders, heart disease, asthma, COPD, anxiety, depression, osteoporosis and kidney disease. She also provides weight management support, preventive care, annual wellness visits and treatment for acute illnesses and minor injuries.

She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University’s DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Afterward, Dr. Lamsal completed an internal medicine residency at Northeast Georgia Medical Center while serving on the Program Evaluation Committee. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Lamsal’s greatest joy comes from helping patients feel more confident about their health. She celebrates wins large and small, whether that means celebrating lower blood pressure or simply easing someone's worries through conversation.

Outside of work, Dr. Lamsal enjoys staying active at the gym, traveling, cooking and reading
