Professional Statement
Dr. Khambatta's interest in medicine grew out of her own experiences as a patient. An active runner and skier, it has been her own sports injuries that have given her an inside look at the medical field.
"I've always loved science, and seeing how science, combined with compassionate care, helped me heal made a big impression on me," Dr. Khambatta says. "My pediatrician and later my family practitioner were my role models as I grew up," Dr. Khambatta says. "What drew me to family practice was my own desire to treat a wide range of patients of all ages. I want to get to know entire families and be a resource for them."
As a family practitioner, she is available to care for all ages, from newborns to seniors. Dr. Khambatta believes in preventive medicine, strong patient education and teaching her patients the fundamentals of staying healthy.
"I'm a good listener and I want to provide the tools for each patient to become advocates for their own health," she adds. "I encourage my patients to become well informed about how to stay healthy as well as how to care for their immediate illness or injury."
