Jen-Liang Jacob Lin, MD

Dr. Jacob Lin chose a career in medicine because it allows him to use his knowledge and problem-solving skills to help others. He values the chance to make a real difference in people’s lives through thoughtful care and strong clinical judgment.

Dr. Lin specializes in cardiology and cares for patients aged 18 and older. He was first drawn to this field because of its complexity and the need for quick, informed decisions. He values the ability to improve both the quality of life and long-term health of his patients.

Dr. Lin treats a wide range of heart conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease and arrhythmias. He also focuses on preventive cardiology. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and has more than 14 years of experience in both academic and clinical settings. He earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his training in internal medicine and cardiology in Boston and San Antonio. He has experience in advanced cardiac imaging and invasive procedures, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Society of Echocardiography.

Patients often describe Dr. Lin as calm and practical. During a visit, patients can expect clear communication and thoughtful recommendations. Dr. Lin works hard to keep visits on time while giving each patient his full attention, performing careful evaluations and explaining findings and treatment options clearly.

He works with each patient to create a care plan that is clear, practical and tailored to their needs. The greatest joy of his work is in helping patients feel better and guiding them through care that improves their long-term health.

Outside of work, Dr. Lin enjoys spending time with his family, staying active, skiing and being outdoors.
