Professional Statement
What I enjoy most about being a doctor is helping my patients improve their health and prevent future illness. As a family practice physician, I want to help take care of your whole family.
Osteopathic medicine is more of a holistic approach to health; it is a philosophy that believes the body has the capacity to heal itself. That means if one part of the body is affected by illness, other parts will be affected, as well. With osteopathic medicine, I pay attention to the whole body, not just the disease or injury.
I believe in patient empowerment. When we work together, I'll give you information and techniques that can help improve your well-being. I believe that you can choose to be healthy and make the necessary changes to live your best life.
When I was an attending physician at the Carle Clinic Association in Danville, Illinois, my patients had the best record for controlling their diabetes and cholesterol rates, among a group of 300 physicians. I take pride in this record, but I owe this success to my patients, who took the initiative to care about their own health and make the necessary changes to improve their conditions.
