Professional Statement
My journey into medicine began at a young age, influenced by my father, who is also a doctor. I watched how he made people feel seen and cared for by listening with compassion and treating each patient with respect. Those early experiences taught me that being a doctor isn’t just about science, it’s about being present for people when they need it most. That realization inspired me to pursue a path of my own in medicine.
I specialize in foot and ankle surgery. As a former collegiate swimmer at Harvard University, I’ve always had a strong connection to athletics, which first led me toward sports medicine. While shadowing various doctors, I had the opportunity to observe a podiatrist treating ballet dancers, athletes whose entire careers rely on their feet and ankles. I realized I could combine my love of movement and sports through podiatry, a career focused on helping people (literally and figuratively) get back on their feet.
I care for patients of all ages and treat a wide range of conditions, including diabetic foot complications, traumatic fractures, sports-related injuries, bunions, and complex reconstructive surgeries. Whether it’s helping someone walk without pain, recover from an injury, or return to activities they enjoy, I find great meaning and pride in every step forward we take together.
As a practitioner, patients can expect me to be an attentive and empathetic listener. I make it a priority to explain things clearly and answer questions honestly so my patients feel informed and confident in their care. I treat every patient like I would treat a member of my own family: with respect, kindness, and a commitment to doing what’s best for them.
I am proud to be part of the team at NorthBay Health, bringing my experience and clinical interests in foot and ankle surgery, trauma, and sports medicine to support patients on their health journeys. What I love most about my work is seeing patients regain their confidence and mobility. Whether it's relieving chronic pain or guiding someone through recovery, knowing I’ve made a meaningful difference in someone’s life makes each day rewarding.
Outside of work, I value balance and staying active. I enjoy a relaxing swim, casual games of pickleball or golf, and most of all, spending time with friends and family. These moments recharge me and bring a fresh perspective that I carry into my care for patients.
